Project: Williams Corner Renovation
Location: Puyallup, Washington
Client: Ned Williams
Scope: Renovation
Completed: 2007

CDA was asked to convert a 1970’s retail/ commercial building in Puyallup’s South Hill neighborhood into a more marketable, modern looking center. Meridian is a highly commercialized thoroughfare and this building required a greater street presence to compete with surrounding businesses and draw attention from the street.

The simple and effective design provides architectural accents for the three tenants using the building. The towers at each end anchor the building, giving it mass, shape and stature, while the middle accent draws the eye towards the center of the building.

By redesigning the landscaping, the building gained increased exposure to the street, as well as increased security by opening up the new walkway to the rear of the building to surveillance.
